Gisela João

Gisela João is recognized as being the embodiment of the feeling that is Fado. With unique and electrifying performances, she takes Fado abroad to the Neumünster Stadthalle Theatre, in the Kunstflecken Festival.

In the beginning of Fall, the artist travels to central Europe with Minho, where she grew up, and the Portuguese cultural heritage on her voice. She’s presenting her most recent album, AuRora, released last year, which has a personal and intimate tone that shines through on stage.

The Portuguese fado singer has done a small tour through Germany and its neighbouring countries earlier this year, having played in cities like Berlin, Munich and Hannover.

Kunstflecken Festival’s lineup is full of musicians of the most diverse genres but who have in common the skill to touch souls through emotion. Besides concerts there will be reading sessions, poetry slam, art exhibits and other distinct art related activities.
