Soraia Tavares

Actress and singer with a voice as powerful as it is soft, with experience in musicals, soap operas and even tv shows such as The Voice, A Tua Cara Não Me É Estranha [Your Face Sounds Familiar], which she won, Soraia Tavares revealed in 2021 her first original songs that introduced her to the world as a composer and lyricist. In 2023, she becomes the Portuguese voice of the Little Mermaid in Disney's movie live action version.

On May 19th 2023, Soraia Tavares released her debut album, A Culpa é da Lua [The Fault in the Moon]. This album reflects a process in which the author began to accept her Portuguese and Cape-Verdean roots and floats among many musical genres, such as Pop and Kizomba, in Portuguese and Creole. Featured in this record are the singles A Beleza Vai Mudar o Mundo [Beauty Will Change the World], As 5 Coisas que Nunca te Disse [The 5 Things I Never Told You], Dona Joana [Mrs. Joana] and the song that borrows its name to the album, A Culpa é da Lua.
