Ricardo Ribeiro

Ricardo Ribeiro's voice, “once heard, never forgotten,” is one of the most recognizable names in contemporary fado.

With several gold records, six albums, and numerous awards, Ricardo Ribeiro has performed on stages all over the world: Italy, France, Belgium, Morocco, the United States, Canada, Austria, England, Russia, Iran, Jordan, Mexico, France, Spain, Finland, among others.

In 2023, he released Terra Que Vale O Céu on October 27, an album that marks Ricardo Ribeiro's return to Fado after a foray into world music in 2019 with Respeitosa Mente. On this new album, he reinterprets some well-known fados such as Acácio, Azenha, and Franklim and sings verses and melodies by notable Portuguese lyricists and musicians such as Fernando Tordo, Amélia Muge, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Nuno Júdice, and Carminho. Also noteworthy is the single Vira-Voltas, one of the songs written by the fado singer himself.

Now, the fado singer takes to the stage for another unique concert, accompanied by José Manuel Neto on the Portuguese guitar, Carlos Manuel Proença on the fado guitar, and Didi Pinto on the bass.

In 2025, Ricardo Ribeiro joined the cast of the concert “Amália in America – Beyond Fado,” a celebration dedicated to the life and legacy of Amália Rodrigues, which took place at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York.
