From the Jazz Music Conservatory, Pedro Abrunhosa formed bands, played in orchestras, toured the world. In 1994, assembled Bandemónio and released "Viagens", kick-starting a quite unprecedented phenomenon in Portugal.

Pedro Abrunhosa wrote and composed a total of 8 albums of original songs: Viagens [Trips] (1994), Tempo [Time] (1996), Silêncio [Silence] (1999), Momento [Moment] (2002), Luz [Light] (2007), Longe [Far] (2010), Contramão [Against The Grain] (2013) and Espiritual [Spiritual] (2018)] - with his new formation Comité Caviar collaborating on the last three, and he is reocrding his ninth album with this formation. Pedro Abrunhosa also has numerous international collaborations in his career. Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Maceo Parker, Lenine, Lila Downs, Lucinda Williams, Ney Matogrosso and Nelly Furtado, amongst many others, have all sung his words. He released the triple disc live Palco [Stage] (2003), the doble CD CORPO i ALMA [BODY & SOUL] (2020), the live disc with Comité Caviar and Orquestra Nacional do Sul Pedro Abrunhosa - Ao Vivo no Porto [Pedro Abrunhosa - Live from Oporto] (2022) and the DVDs Intimidade [Intimacy] (2005) and Coliseu [Coliseum] (2011), as well as a celebration edition of his first album, Viagens.

With a solid career marked by an enormous success, Pedro Abrunhosa has garnered multiple platinum records and innumerable awards. He is also owner of the BoomStudios recording studio, where he produced his most recent recorded work and where he is currently recording the work of a number of major Portuguese and international artists.
