Orquestra Bamba Social

Orquestra Bamba Social is a group from Oporto united by their love for samba. They present original works and revisit various classics of Brazilian music, giving them a new sound and adding elements from other genres such as jazz, funk, and hip-hop.

Each of their four albums features collaborations with numerous other musicians, including Marcelo D2, Miguel Araújo, Moacyr Luz, Tatanka, Teresa Cristina, Tiago Nacarato, and others.

Their most recent album, Mundo Novo [New World] (2022), was recorded between Oporto, Rio de Janeiro, and Den Helder in the Netherlands, and involves more than 30 musicians. This album reveals a new creative phase for the band, exploring other sounds and expanding horizons within the Lusophone universe. Mundo Novo is an album for the world, whether it be the global world we live in, or an inner world full of emotions.
