Diana Castro is a Portuguese singer and songwriter whose musical career is marked by her versatility and emotional depth. With a powerful voice and captivating stage presence, the Portuguese artist quickly stood out on the Portuguese music scene. Diana began her musical career in small clubs and bars, where her authenticity and raw talent won the admiration of a loyal audience.
She came in an honorable second place on The Voice, followed by the preparation and subsequent release of her EP, A Espera (2021). She was chosen by Joana Espadinha to sing her "Ginger Ale" at the 2022 RTP Song Festival and was later invited by Maro to go to Eurovision to join the choir in the performance of the artist who represented Portugal that year.
Diana Castro's debut album features the collaboration of Luísa Sobral and was released in January 2023, with the single "se queres voar". In this album, Diana reflects on “being a woman, being a mother, being an artist, being a cycle in constant transformation.”
The artist recently released the single “Escândalo”, produced by LEFT at Great Dane Studios and accompanied by a music video produced by director Joana Caiano.
It is the singer-songwriter's first release after the success of “O Amor Nunca Acaba”, which was featured prominently on the playlists of major national radio stations.
In June 2025, Diana launched the SOMA project - a community music initiative that celebrates the joy of collective singing. With three sold-out editions, Diana Castro has created a space where anyone, with or without musical experience, can join others to sing and connect.
