Diana Castro

Diana Castro is taking her first steps as a singer-songwriter, but her music career has already started some time ago.

She managed an honorable second place in The Voice Portugal and after that wrote and released an EP, A Espera [The Wait] (2021). She was the chosen interpreter by Joana Espadinha to sing her Ginger Ale in RTP Festival da Canção 2022 (the contest to choose the Portuguese song to Eurovision) and was afterwards invited by Maro to go to Eurovision joining her in the song that represented Portugal that year.

She released, in the meantime, three singles following three songs of her EP and has released Alguém tem de sair [Someone has to leave], single of her debut album, princípio, meio e princípio [beginning, middle and beginning].

Diana's debut album had Luísa Sobral's collaboration and was released in January 2023, with the single se queres voar [if you want to fly]. In this album, Diana reflects about "being a woman, being a mother, being an artist, being a cycle in constant change."
